Be Strong

I was recently asked to do some shirts for another church youth group. They had found a 'theme' that they liked. "Be Strong" and there were some shirts that they were looking at from online. But, they wanted something that the kids might wear more than 1 time. While the design below incorporates allot of fun colors and the theme in multiple languages; it just was not 'saying' wear me again.

Closer view of colors and "Be Strong" languages.

I came up with this simple yet 'fashion' design. Still using the concept of the different languages. But, having some fun with different fonts. Some distress and a more "all over printing" design. I think it looks pretty fun. And the most important thing...... The client likes it better too. One other advantage. Because it is a 1 color imprint the price is much more reasonable.

Let me know your thoughts. Which would your teenager wear again? I look forward to hearing from you.

Basic into Fashion

I recently had the opportunity to do a tee-shirt design for a client that was going on a winter family vacation. They had come up with a basic design. But, wanted me to come up with something a little more fashion forward, yet stay within a specific budget of about $10 per shirt. Basically that means a 1 color design. Below is what they sent to me.

Pretty basic right.. here is the kicker. That design imprinted would have cost the same amount as this design that we ended up doing. Tell me which would you rather have?

We ended up printing up 15 Long Sleeve Tee-shirts at $9.66 each plus a set up of $15.00. So, each shirt ended up being $10.66 each. Not to shabby, if I don't say so myself. Plus, when they go to the slopes they will look like a snowboarding team. Have fun Dr. Rohm!!

"Speedy Delivery"

Wow... it isn't very often that I have the same type of request with in a couple of days... But, I guess that is how things sometimes happen...

You see... last Thursday I received a call at 4pm From Randal Nelsen (Marketing Genius) of Triumph Ventures. He had received a call from Cheryl (Boise Urban Liaison Magazine) for some tee-shirts for one of her clients (VIP "Viral Intermedia Production.... Have I lost you yet?).... anyway; He told her that Signature Promotions was his 'go to' company for all things promotional. So, Randal called me and I called Cheryl.... and left a message. She promptly called back and told me that she had a client that needed some Tee-Shirts for later that night... Did I mention that I received the 1st call at 4pm....

Well, I like to be a miracle worker and do what others can't... So.... we did!! I delivered the shirts to Cheryl at 6:30pm (just 2-1/2 hours after receiving the first call). I did it in such a hurry that I forgot to take some pictures to post... But, here is the Client approval sheet that I sent to Cheryl... Oh, I think I forgot to mention that they wanted Black shirts. From what I've been told no one carries black shirts in stock (well, I do). ;-)

I started off by saying that I had two similar requests with in days..... request #2 happened today/tonight. I was just finishing up my BNI (Business Networking International) Meeting when I received a call from KC Littlewood of "KV Hardwood" Floors. "KC" is working on a remodel of a downtown Boise hotel and was informed that they needed to be 'in uniform'. So, He called me and guess what .... We printed shirts for him... first call was at about 3pm... I got back to the office at about 4pm and picked up his business card for his logo... Seems his PC has recently crashed and he didn't have a digital version of his logo... So, I turned this:

Into This (Front):

And This (Back):Not to shabby for a few hours turn around time including recreating the logo and imprinting it on the shirts. But, we love to do the impossible. Give us a call next time you need "Speedy Delivery" or a Miricle ... Maybe we can help!

Ideas Do Come to life!

Have an idea for a tee shirt? But, don't know how to make it happen? We can help. We recently had a client come to us with a photograph of a shirt that he liked and wanted to know if we could turn in into a "Camp Retreat" shirt for all of the attendees. Well, we did what we do.... Made it happen... Take a look below.

We were given this photograph and asked if I could put it on a "Retreat" shirt.

No other "art" was provided! Well, except for the sketch in the next picture.

*Client wanted to add this 'shield' to the shirt. We took his 'sketch' and converted it into the 'hand~drawn' shield.

*Client approved Proof*

*Finished Product*

With added distress.

Concept to Completion

Graduation night for my 2nd son (Mason) was just last weekend. And we had a group of his friends come and "hang out". So, for a gift for them we designed a t-shirt to commemorate the event .... Oh, did I mention that we did it for them right then and there???

After a little debating on what color of shirt they wanted and what design that they wanted to go with this is what they came up with.
For a bit of added flair we had the boys sign a sheet of 'paper' and used that as a screen on the side of the shirt. They had a blast and....well, they looked pretty good to... They all liked the shirts so much that they decided to wear them to the other Graduation parties that they attended. All in all a big hit. And fun to do!!!If you look closely at the left of the shirts you can see the signatures in red ink.

Business Card Face Lift

Tanya - the owner of Compliance Check Consulting came to be for some business cards. Originally all she wanted to do was change the color scheme from the 'earth tone browns' to a gray color palette. See below.
Old Card
Old Design - New Color
Now I really like the new color scheme! But, I had a little spare time so.... I decided to tweak the design a little more. Tanya was wanting to go with a bit of a different look. So, why not change it even more? After a bit of playing around; this is what I can up with. Looks pretty good I think....So did she... 500 cards for $35.00 Plus, we added some text on the back.

"There is No Charge......"

"FOR AWESOMENESS !"

OK... maybe I should explain.... Every year my wife makes pajama bottoms for the entire family (5 of us if you didn't know). My wife, me and three boys.... So, needless to say she is out numbered.

Batman themed a couple of years ago. "Halo" with camo bottoms last year (hers were pink), and this year "Kung Fu Panda".

If you've seen the movie you know the above quote from within the first couple of minutes. And instead of having her make the bottoms this year we decided to up the anti a little. Black sweat pants and jackets with "Furious Five" (get it, there are 5 of us) on the front of both. On the back of the hooded jacket was the quote with a fun 'design'. We also did a white long sleeved shirt with the same quote and design on the front of it.

Anyway, a fun Holiday tradition that I thought I would share with you...
Next time you've got a family activity ...reunion..... or some other 'get together' that you'd like to commemorate; think of doing something unique.... Maybe you've got a favorite movie quote you would like to see on a shirt...

Have fun making memories and standing out from the crowd!
